Last week, my husband and I traveled around New England. Since my grandpa lives in Boston, we planned day trips that were drivable from his house. One of the places that we visited was Woodstock, Vermont. Oh my gosh, this town is picture-perfect. It is charming and every single house is just adorable! The covered bridges make this New England town delightful. I thought I would share our day spent in Woodstock!
Sugarbush Cheese & Maple Farm was first on our agenda. The drive to get to Sugarbush was just breathtaking! Colorful leaves were everywhere! Plus, the fall foliage this time of year is just perfection!
When we arrived, we headed to their main store. Once inside, we were greeted and given samples of their cheese and maple syrup! We sampled so much cheese, I was in heaven! The sharp cheddar cheese aged four years was my favorite! The maple syrup came in four different flavors. The Amber maple syrup flavor was my favorite! My husband loved the Dark. Of course, we purchased a bottle to bring back to St. Louis.
Around the farm, they have an adorable chapel. From there, you can go on a quick hike along the nature trail to the maple sugar woods. Along the trail, you can learn how they collect sap and turn it into maple syrup!
You can see the lines that collect the sap on the picture below!
The farm also has some adorable animals that you can pet! How cute is this baby calf?
The gorgeous fall colors from the farm!

After spending the morning at the farm, we headed into town! We ate lunch at The Village Butcher! We ordered sandwiches and split a pumpkin pie. We took our food and ate at the tables in the front of the store. Everything was delicious and our bellies were happy!
After lunch, we did some shopping and toured around town. Each store front is decorated for fall and the houses are just as adorable!
The front porch of one of the houses in Woodstock, VT. Can we say front porch goals!
Can I move in? The decor is so cute!
The Woodstock Inn. Great place to stay for an overnight trip!
In the afternoon we headed to the Billings Farm & Museum. This is a historic farm is just adorable! They have sheep, chickens, baby calfs, and cows. You can tour the historic farm house and learn about the dairy operations. Such a great place to bring kids.

For dinner, we headed to Simon Pearce. They sell glass that is just stunning. I have never seen glass so clear! It is about a 15 minute drive from Woodstock. It is in Quechee, VT. The flagship store and mill is located along the Quechee River. It overlooks a waterfall and another beautiful covered bridge. Since we had time to spare before our reservation, we were able to watch them blow glass. My husband especially enjoyed this demonstration. We sat on the bench and were both mesmerized. We have the Addison Pitcher. The glass trees are on my wish list! How beautiful would these be on a mantle during the holidays?
By the end of the evening we were stuffed and headed back to Boston! We cannot wait to visit this town again someday!

NEW POST: MY FASHION MONTH - VLOG + LOOKBOOK
This post brought back a lot of memories for me, as my husband and I traveled to all these same places years ago. We have especially fond memories of Sugar Bush Farm. We loved the horse who "insisted" we feed him by taking his nose and hitting the pay-for-feed box so we'd notice it.
ReplyDeleteOMG everything is so beautiful there! I love it! I will have to go some day!

Last January I and my husband was planning to go here for our anniversary. The bad part was, non of our known banks were providing us with short-term loans as we already took for our business. Then I got to know about fast cash loans online and they are so amazing! They provied us fast cash loan, without any mortgage and it was so simple! We just filled up a form and got that money. Also, the payment method was easy and there was no hidden charge at all.
