Floral Ruffle Shorts…

Hello Thursday! I picked up these floral shorts a few weeks ago. The fact that they have an elastic waist band makes them even better. They are currently on sale and under $15!

DIY Patriotic Wreath…

A few weeks ago I made this patriotic wreath! I took a few pictures as I made it. It is super easy to make, and I bought everything on SALE! Everything was purchased from JoAnn Fabric and Craft Store. They always have coupons, so make sure to check your phone so that you can see what deals they have before you check out.
To begin, I purchased the stems that I wanted to use.

Here is what I purchased:

10 white bud stems.
Red Ranunculus stems
 1 Grapevine wreath
Ribbon

I was not sure what I wanted to do, so I started with the white floral stems. I wrapped them in the grapevine wreath so that they were nice at tight.
I kept adding more and more stems. I used 5 stems on this side.

Once I got the white stems in, I started to add a pop of red. I cut some of the red ranunculus to separate it a bit more. I used wire cutters to cut the stems.

This is how the first side turned out.  I repeated the same technique on the other side of the wreath.

For the bows, I made a video tutorial on my instastories. If you go to my Instagram @jacquelinerendine, you can find it in my highlights. They are so easy to make!

You will need a hot glue gun, ribbon of your choice, wire, and wire cutters.
You need to cut 4 strips of ribbon first.

1 30 inch strip
1 20 inch strip
1 15 inch strip
1 10 inch strip

Once you cut, take the 30 inch and the 15 inch strip. Hot glue the end of the strips together. You will have two just like the picture below.

Place the 15 inch strip on top of the 30 inch strip and cinch at the middle. It will look like the photo below.

Using wire, tie them together at the middle. Cut any extra wire.
You will then add your 20 inch strip behind the 30 inch strip. Use wire to attach and trim off any extras. For some reason, I skipped a picture on this part! Sorry!

To attach the bow, use wire and wrap around wreath. Cut off any extra.
I made a few extra bows for the lanterns.

For Dad…

Hello everyone! Yesterday, I spent quite some time learning how to use Adobe Photoshop Elements. When Polyvore shut down a little while ago, I knew I needed to find a new place to create sets. So far, I like it! I watched a lot of videos and read a few blogs to learn how to use the tools, but I am happy with my first set.
This one is all about dad. With Father's Day less than two weeks away, I wanted to share some of my favorite picks for dad.

Summer Ready…

Summer has officially begun! I took some much needed time away from work and the blog to just relax the last two weeks.
I cannot tell you how many times I have worn this dress since I purchased it. It has been my go-to when I need to get ready quickly. Last week, I wore it to open house for summer school. I needed to change fast, so this dress was easy and comfy!

Brights…

Summer is just three days away and this romper is the perfect way to kick it off! I wore it this past weekend and it was so perfect the summer-like heat that has begun. I love bright colors in the spring/summer!

I also wanted to share the great mission behind the watch I am wearing.  Mon Amie watches are designed to give back. Each watch contributes to a cause in an effort to end poverty in developing countries. You choose the cause that resonates with you. This Health watch that I am wearing provides prenatal care to a Maasai mama in Kenya. Such a great way to give back! This watch, helps  support mobile clinics that serve rural communities, allowing prenatal care for women in need.
