Holiday Pajamas & Christmas Memories…

Christmas pajamas is a tradition that my husband and I started the year we got married. We open them up on Christmas Eve. I always look forward to this part of Christmas. This pair is one of my favorites! They are super comfy and come in several colors!

The Christmas Memories Book was gift given to me as a wedding present. Each Christmas, you fill out your favorite memories from Christmas. I always add our Christmas card and favorite cards from each year. It is so much fun to look back on! My mom has two books full of Christmas memories!

Holiday Home Tour 2017…

I finally took pictures of my Christmas decor this weekend! I only made a few minor changes this year. The tree was the main one. I changed the ribbon and added more berries, branches, and pine cones. Home decor is one of my favorite hobbies. Does it count as a hobby? LOL! Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my favorite days! It takes me a few hours, but I love the process!

5 Tips to Stay in Budget for Travel in 2018

Hi everyone! When it comes to staying in budget, I will admit that I am not the best at it. One area that I am always willing to splurge on is travel. My husband I just visited the New England area in October. We enjoyed every second of this trip and are ready to plan our next adventures in 2018! When it comes to traveling, a lot of planning is involved. One part of planning is creating a budget. I have listed 5 important ways you can save for your next adventure!

1. Where are you headed?
The first step in determining a budget is to know what you are saving for. Are you heading to the beach, mountains,  or going overseas?
White Mountains, New Hampshire

                                                         2. Come up with a budget
Once you have picked your destination,  you will want to start saving for the adventure. Creating budget is great way to get an idea of what you can afford.  A great way to start doing this is through the new mobile bank Finn by Chase.  This new bank is unlike others because it is mobile and designed to help you take control of your spending.

 Hilton Head, South Carolina

3. Start Saving!
One feature that I love about Finn  is that you can make saving automatic. With Finn, you can make your own rules and have it designed so that you can save money after certain purchases. So every time I buy a diet coke, I can have it set up to put $5.00 in my savings account! That is more money in my savings towards my next vacation!

Quechee, Vermont
4. Determine wants vs. needs
Another way to save even more money is to use the feature that allows you to record your expenses as wants versus needs. The best part, you can mark your purchases using emoticons. So if purchase items you regret, you can include a frown next to the purchase. If you purchase items you love, you can insert the smiley emoticon!

Woodstock, Vermont

5. Pick the right tools
When it comes to saving for travel, a great way to keep everything organized is to use the right tools! By using the right tools, you will get to that destination quicker and enjoy all the savings that you put in.

Saving for a trip means watching what I purchase. With Finn there are no monthly fees and you even get a $50 sign up bonus! St. Louis is the first city to receive the all new mobile bank from Chase! You will also get a debit card that is compatible with over 29,000 ATMS.
