Happy almost weekend! I wanted to share a kitchen update with you today! About 2 weeks ago, we picked out our stone for our kitchen update.
When looking for stone for our kitchen, we knew we wanted something that was durable, could withstand heat, minimal etching, and is non-porous. I also wanted to stay in the white/grey area. We looked at several stone shops before finding our winner.
As much as I love marble, I knew it would not be best for our kitchen. We looked at quartz, quartzite, and granite. Below are some of our favorites! Plus, you can see our winner!
This stone was stunning, but it was SUPER expensive.
If we did not find our stone, I would have picked this quartz one as our second choice.
I loved this stone! This is called New Super White Quartzite. Sadly, it is considered a marble, so we decided not to go with it.
We found another Super White, but it was too expensive. Plus, they only had one slab. We needed two slabs.
This stone is called Shadow Storm. It is a granite and absolutely gorgeous! This was out winner!
I love the one you picked! Good job going with granite too. We did the same last year. My sister is an interior designer and as much as I wanted the marble everyone has she told me it would be a mess to take care of. Great decision!
